They remain the result of a meticulous and thoughtful creation by Nunzio Carbone.
Nunzio was personally involved in all the stages of the creation.
As soon as the small "handmade" logo (image below) appears, it indicates that a product or a service is handmade by Nunzio Carbone (makeup, haistyle, sewing, etc).

What makes unique a fDA doll from the other 16'' fashion dolls ?
The long and slim lines of fDA dolls allow them to pose very gracefully and naturally.
From a technical point of view, fDA dolls have mechanical joints on the whole body (including toes). Hands (1.0 / 2.0) and feet (2.0 only) are detachable. The mechanical joints are more solid than joint balls dolls ones.
The joints on the feet allows fDA dolls to wear flats and high heels. Their wardrobe can be very diversified : everything fits !
fDA dolls are made of full soft matte vinyl that increases the handling experience.

Potencially, yes.
A fDA 2.0 New Gen doll can wear the outfits of certain other 16'' dolls (skinny ones), shoes included.
A fDA 1.0 doll can wear the outfits of certain other 16'' dolls (skinny ones). Her feet being smaller, she can't wear all the shoes of other 16'' fashion dolls (Sybarite vinyl compatible).
Do 1.0 doll outfits fit 2.0 NEW GEN dolls and vice versa ?
In principle it would seem not.
One exception : wide-fitting outfits made for 1.0 dolls can be wear by 2.0 New Gen dolls.
Please note that the shoe size is different between 1.0 and 2.0 New Gen dolls.

Doll Care - hair care
fDA New Gen doll hair is rooted. Made out of very soft synthetic fibers.
To keep fDA doll hair looking its best, we recommand a cire
hairsbrush, a hair
pick or simply fingers styling depending on the texture of her hair.
Use a soft shampoo or
delicate liquid soap to wash the hair.
Be very
careful with
handpainted dolls.
Bleached areas in the body. Is this normal ?
It could happen on handpainted dolls that the face or some areas of the body turn white. No worries.
To protect handpainted dolls, we apply a
fixative that can whiten slightly over time.
To restore the radiance of your doll's skin, simply apply some
moisturizing cream on the white areas and massage until the whitened area is weel hydrated. Once dry, the doll will have founds its beautiful skin of yesteryear.
I let my doll wear a garment that rubbed off the body. What can I do ?
Dark-colored outfits and tightly fitting materials may rub off on your doll's body.
There is a solution, but you will need a little patience. Apply a dose of "Cutacnyl 10%"
anti-acne cream (or equivalent) on the stained area. Leave the doll under the sunlight or next to a heat source. Let it dry for
several days, even
weeks if the stain is heavily encrusted.
Remove the excess of product with your fingers and finish to rub under the water.
Normally the stain should have totally disappeared.
Did you know ?
When the stain is too intense, it can sometimes be too late to fade it away. By prevention, we advise you to avoid having your doll wearing too tight clothes for a long period. Don't hesitate to better undress her. Outfits are designed to be wear/undress.
Are the 1.0 "Born This Way" dolls hand painted ?
No.

New Gen or Born This way dolls :
Use delicate liquid soap and rub them delicately, hair included.
Handpainted dolls :
Use a Q-tip impregnated with a micellar cleaning solution for sensitive skin only in the areas to be cleaned, avoiding the eyes and the mouth.
Doll Care - body care
Use delicate liquid soap and rub them delicately.
If your doll needs more, you can clean it with a little tea towel impregnated of
acetone.
Beware, acetone is a corrosive liquid : it cleans but erases also tattoos, manicure, pedicure, and makeup.
Be careful in using it.
